Tressady Coach House

Tressady Coach House is a detached stone house on a private estate near Rogart. It was a coach house, built in 1871. The access is through an electric gate at the bottom of the drive, so it feels very secluded. The road winds up through woods to the house.

It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms and a shower room are on the ground floor, which is useful if stairs are a problem for someone. The stairs inside are a proper original cottage staircase, so they're a bit steep and turn corners. Just so you know.

The main living room has a high vaulted ceiling and an open fireplace. There are leather sofas. The kitchen is modern and has everything you'd need. It's a 4 Star rating, which means it's well looked after and comfortable.

You're right on the North Coast 500 route here. The village of Rogart is about two miles away. It has a pub that does food and a shop. For a bigger shop, Dornoch or Lairg are about fifteen minutes drive.

Dornoch is a nice town with a famous golf course and a good beach. Dunrobin Castle is about half an hour away and worth a visit. You can see deer and birds of prey from the house. Good walking right from the door.

The garden is yours to use. There's a large stone barn on the estate that can sometimes be hired for big events, if you ask in advance. It has proper kitchen and dining facilities.

Facilities: parking, wifi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
