Shepherds Hut

This is the Shepherds Hut, up near Inchnadamph in the Highlands. It's a small, detached hut for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom.

It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well kitted out. It's a proper shepherds hut though, so the space is compact. The shower is in a separate little building right outside the door.

You're surrounded by fields and hills. It's very quiet. The road up to it is a single track. You can park right next to it.

Inside, there's a bed, a small kitchen area, heating, and WiFi. It's all there for a cosy stay. We include the bedding and towels. You can bring one dog.

For things to do, you're right in the middle of it. The Assynt Foundation land is all around you for walking. The Bone Caves are a short walk away, which are interesting if you like geology. Ardvreck Castle ruin is by Loch Assynt, about a ten minute drive. Ben More Assynt and Conival are there if you want a big hill day.

Lochinver village is about 15 miles away for shops and the famous pie shop. Kylesku Bridge is maybe a 20 minute drive, it's a spectacular bit of road. You'll see deer around, and if you're lucky, eagles.

The hut is part of a small group of properties here, so sometimes there might be other guests nearby, but you have your own space.
