Riverside
Riverside is in Inchnadamph, up in the Assynt area. It's a cottage I refurbished a few years back. The track down to it is rough, so you need to drive slowly.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating.
The main living space is open plan. There’s a sofa, a wood burner, and a TV with Netflix. The Wi-Fi works well. The garden is right by the river. You can hear it from the house.
The house is very much for getting away from things. The village is tiny. There’s a pub about 200 yards away that does food. The nearest shop is in Lochinver, which is about a 12 mile drive.
If you like walking, you’re in the right place. The path into Traligill Glen starts near the cottage. That’s where the big cave system is. The mountains like Suilven and Stac Pollaidh are close by for more serious walks. For fishing, there are lochs nearby, or you can hire a boat for sea angling from Lochinver.
Knockan Crag is a short drive away if you're interested in the geology. It's a National Nature Reserve. A good day out is to take the ferry from Scourie over to Handa Island for the seabirds.
Inside, there's a washing machine. Bedding is included. There’s parking for two cars. You can bring two dogs.
