Ghillies At Riverside Inchnadamph

It's called Ghillies At Riverside, and it's a shepherd's hut near Inchnadamph, up in Assynt. It really is on its own, and you can hear the river from it.

The hut sleeps two. It's one room, with a double bed at one end and a little kitchen area. There's a shower room at the other end. It's small, but it's been built properly, and it's warm. We've put in a separate little shed next to it for boots and wet gear, so you don't have to bring that inside.

You park by the river and walk up through the garden to get to it. There's a fire pit and barbecue outside, looking over the water.

You'll see deer in the garden. Sometimes you see eagles. The area is famous for the mountains and the geology. If you're here to walk or climb, it's a good spot. Walkhighlands has the best route information. The start of the North Coast 500 is just up the road.

It's very quiet. The nearest shop or place to eat is about twelve miles away in Lochinver, so you need to come with supplies. There's no TV signal, but there is WiFi.

Everything is included: bedding, towels, electricity. Sorry, no pets.
