Seaview Cottage

Seaview Cottage is just outside Ackergillshore in Caithness. It's detached, so no neighbours on either side.

The view is the main thing. You're right on the coast, looking out over the sea towards Noss Head Lighthouse. The garden is enclosed and there's a patio area. It's a good spot to sit out if the weather's kind.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. There's a multi-fuel stove in the living room, which is handy for cooler evenings. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine.

You can bring one dog. The garden is fully fenced.

You're about a fifteen minute walk from the beach at Ackergill. The ruins of Castle Sinclair Girnigoe are very close, maybe a five minute drive. They're impressive, right on the cliffs. For a longer day out, John O'Groats is about twenty minutes by car. You can get ferries to Orkney from there. The sea stacks at Duncansby are worth seeing too.

Useful links if you're planning trips: Historic Environment Scotland for castles, and Visit Orkney if you're thinking of heading over.

Facilities: parking for two cars on the gravel drive, towels and bedding are included, and there's WiFi. The cottage is available over Christmas.
