Church View is in Wick, up in the far north. It's a modern house, not an old cottage. You get a view of St. John's church from the front.
It sleeps four. Two double bedrooms and one bathroom with a decent shower. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's clean and functional. It's all on one level, which is handy.
There's a small enclosed garden out the back with a table and chairs. Parking is right outside.
Wick itself is a proper town with a history in fishing. You've got shops, places to eat, a heritage museum, and the Old Pulteney distillery is right there. The beach at Reiss Sands is about four miles up the road. There's also a golf course just outside town.
Being on the North Coast 500 route, it's a good place to stop for a few nights instead of rushing through. From here you can get to John O' Groats and Duncansby Head in about twenty minutes. The Castle of Old Wick is a short walk along the cliffs. If you want to go over to Orkney, the ferry at Gills Bay is about half an hour's drive.
Inside, it's open-plan living, dining, and kitchen. There's a TV, a washing machine, and bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
