Ballygroggan Cottage

Ballygroggan Cottage is on the farm at the top of the hill in Machrihanish. It's detached. You look out over fields to the sea.

It sleeps four. One bedroom downstairs with a super king bed. The second bedroom is up in the attic with two single beds, so mind your head on the beams. One bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable.

The kitchen is a galley kitchen, it's small but it has what you need. The dining room has the washing machine in it as well. The lounge has a woodburning stove. There's a patio and a garden.

You're on a working farm, so there are sheep in the fields. It's very quiet. Because there's little light pollution, you get a good view of the stars. Sometimes you can see the Northern Lights over the bay.

Machrihanish village and the beach are a short drive down the hill. The famous Machrihanish Golf Course is there if you're a golfer.

Campbeltown is about seven miles away. You'll find shops, a leisure centre, and the harbour there. The Springbank distillery is in the town if you like whisky.

For walking, the Kintyre Way is right on the doorstep. You can get to the coast easily. If you want to explore further, the Mull of Kintyre lighthouse is about a 40-minute drive.

Facilities: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, bedding and towels included. There's parking. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
