Hollyhocks is a barn conversion in Woodford. It's new, that's why it looks so clean. It's on a working farm, surrounded by fields. You get 500 acres to wander around on your own.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms, all downstairs. Each has its own shower room, which is handy. There's also a wet room downstairs, and a washing machine in a utility room. Upstairs is one big room with the kitchen, dining table, and living area. The ceiling is high and there are big windows. You get a good view of the land from there. There's a big balcony off this room. You can sit out there.
The facilities are what you'd expect: TV, WiFi, dishwasher. There's an electric vehicle charger on site. You can bring one dog. The rating is 4 Star.
The River Nene is a few minutes' walk away. You have private access. People do canoeing and fishing there. There are fishing lakes about five minutes walk the other way, you buy day tickets. You're right on the Nene Way for walks or cycling.
The local villages, Woodford and Great Addington, are close. They have pubs you can walk to. The Marina is near, they have a tea room and a restaurant by the water. Rushden Lakes is about ten minutes by car. It's a big retail park with shops, a cinema, and you can do things on the lake. Stanwick Lakes is just past that.
If you like history, there are a lot of big houses around here. Althorp House, Castle Ashby, Rockingham Castle. They're all within about half an hour's drive.
