Meadow View
Meadow View is a bungalow in Compton Martin. It's detached and all on one floor, which is handy if you don't want stairs.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's spacious and clean.
The sunroom at the back is a good spot. It looks out over the garden and fields. You do see a fair bit of wildlife.
The village has a pub about 500 yards away. They do food. There's a shop about a mile away. You're right in the Chew Valley, so it's quiet.
You're between Chew Valley Lake and Blagdon Lake. Both are good for birdwatching. If you fish, both are reservoirs with day tickets.
For a day out, Cheddar Gorge and the caves are about 20 minutes drive. Wells is about 15 minutes away. The cathedral is worth seeing. Glastonbury is about half an hour. Bristol and Bath are both within 40 minutes if you want a city trip.
As for facilities: it’s got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if needed. You can bring up to two dogs.
