Cosy Cottage

Cosy Cottage is in Howden. It's a house on the main street into town, so you've got shops and the pub a couple of minutes' walk away. It's not remote.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one with a double bed, the other with two singles. There's one bathroom with a shower. The stairs are a bit steep, because it's an old place. Comes with a 4 Star rating.

The living room has a wood burner, which is nice on a cold night. There's a TV. Kitchen has what you'd need. You can bring one dog.

Howden itself is a proper market town. There's a big market on Fridays. The Minster is worth a look. The English Heritage site for Kipax Castle is local, but there are others nearby if you like that sort of thing.

You're about half an hour's drive from York. It's an easy trip by car or train from Howden station. Beverley is about the same distance the other way. The coast, like Hull or Spurn Point, is within 40 minutes or so if you fancy that.

In terms of what's here, it's got Wi-Fi, a dishwasher, and bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car out the back.

For planning walks or days out, the Yorkshire Dales National Park site has good information, and the North York Moors site is useful too.
