Leedale Cottage is in Saltmarshe. It's on a working farm, so there are animals around. The River Ouse runs along the bottom of the field. You can walk along the bank.
It's a converted barn. It sleeps six but there are only two bedrooms, so they're quite big. The bathroom is downstairs. It's got a shower. It's open plan upstairs.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, but it's still a farm cottage. You'll hear tractors sometimes. The floors are stone. It's warm though.
There's parking right outside. You get a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding is included. We can provide a cot and highchair.
The nearest shop and pub are about four miles away in Howden. Howden's got a nice market. You're about half an hour's drive from York. You can get the train from Howden too, which is easier for a day trip.
If you've got kids, the big attractions like The Deep in Hull or Diggerland are within about a 30 minute drive. It's a good base for exploring. The coast at Spurn Point is about an hour away.
For local walks and information, Yorkshire Wolds and the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust have good websites.
