Peaceful Cabin Retreat Skegby

Peaceful Cabin Retreat is the name, but we just call it the lodge. It's in our garden in Skegby, Nottinghamshire. It's a wooden cabin for two people.

The main thing is the view. It looks out over the fields. You get a lot of privacy even though it's on our land. You can sit on the deck and you'll often see buzzards circling.

Inside it's all one room, with the kitchen, dining table and seating area together. It's newly furnished. There's a smart TV. The bedroom is through a door, it's a cosy double with good quality bedding. There's one shower room.

We've got about ten acres here, it's a smallholding with some animals. Our dogs are friendly and they do roam around the grounds, just so you know.

You've got the deck to yourselves, with a fire pit. There are blankets you can use outside.

If you want to get out, you can walk into Tiversal village. Sherwood Forest is on your doorstep for longer walks. The Sherwood Forest visitor information site has details. The Peak District is also within half an hour's drive if you fancy a change of scene.

Everything's included: the electric, WiFi, bedding, towels. There's parking right by the lodge.

It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. No pets allowed I'm afraid.
