Coastal Gem Clacton on Sea

This place is in Holland-on-Sea, which is the quieter bit next to Clacton-on-Sea. It's a terraced house, but it's got its own garden front and back. We renovated it last year.

It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One of those is an en-suite. The stairs are fine.

It's got a proper kitchen with an island and quartz worktops. There's a dishwasher and washing machine. The living room is a good size with a big TV.

The main thing is the garden. It's fully enclosed, which is good if you've got kids or a dog. Sorry, no pets. There's a patio with outdoor furniture, a barbecue, and a hot tub.

You're about a ten minute walk from the beach here. It's sand and shingle. There's a chippy a few minutes away that has won awards. There's a local shop, a couple of pubs that do food, and takeaways all within walking distance.

Clacton itself has the pier with amusements and things if you want that. Further inland, Colchester is about half an hour by car. The castle is good for history, and Colchester Zoo is popular. If you want a nice walk by the water, Dedham Vale and Flatford Mill are in that direction too.

If you want to go into London, there's a direct train from Clacton-on-Sea station. It takes about an hour and a half to Stratford.

Facilities: All bedding and towels are included. There's on-site parking for one car. We can provide a cot and highchair. The hot tub is there for you to use. WiFi is included.
