Lavender Cottage
This is Lavender Cottage in Kirkby le Soken. It's a two-up two-down cottage, end of terrace. Sleeps four, two bedrooms, one bathroom.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and everything works, but it's not huge. It's a proper cottage. The stairs are a bit steep, like most old places.
You get the garden to yourselves, it's enclosed. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair.
The village has a shop and two pubs, both within walking distance. Frinton-on-Sea is about two miles away for the beach. Walton-on-the-Naze is a similar distance the other way, that's got a pier.
Colchester is about a twenty minute drive. You can see the Roman Wall and the Castle Museum. For a longer day out, you can get into Dedham Vale, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, or up to the Suffolk coast around Aldeburgh. Both are roughly half an hour by car.
One well-behaved dog is allowed.
