Coconut Mill is a house in the middle of Lavenham. The name is because it used to be part of a silk mill. The front door opens straight onto the street.
It's been done up, so it's in good condition. It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which helps. One bedroom and a shower room are on the ground floor. The main living area is on the first floor, which some people find unusual. It means the kitchen and the sitting room get a nice view over the garden and the rooftops. The other two bedrooms are on the top floor.
The garden is enclosed. There's a games room in the outbuilding, which is handy if the weather turns.
You're right in the town. It's a two-minute walk to the market square with the timber-framed buildings. There are cafes and shops. The De Vere House, which they used in the Harry Potter films, is just around the corner. It's a proper medieval town.
If you want to get out, Long Melford is about ten minutes by car. Bury St. Edmunds is maybe half an hour. The Suffolk coast is about 40 minutes to an hour, depending on whether you're heading to Southwold or Aldeburgh.
Facilities: it's got the usual things. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. A cot and highchair are there if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on the drive.
