Lavenham Red Brick Cottage

This is Lavenham Red Brick Cottage. It's in the middle of Lavenham village, so everything is right outside. The cottage itself sleeps three people. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after.

It's a terraced cottage, so you share walls, but you get your own little enclosed courtyard out the back. It's not a big garden, just a space to sit outside. The cottage is cosy. There's a wood burning stove for the winter.

You're literally a couple of minutes' walk from the high street. There are shops, cafes, and a few pubs that do food. The village butcher and baker are very good. Because it's so central, it can be busy during the day, especially at weekends.

Lavenham is a medieval wool town. A lot of the buildings are very old and timber-framed. The church is massive, like a cathedral. It's a nice place to walk around. English Heritage has a lot of information about the area.

If you want to go further out, Bury St Edmunds is about 11 miles away. It's a proper market town with more shops. For the coast, Southwold and Aldeburgh are about an hour's drive. They've got shingle beaches and are good for a day out. Thetford Forest is roughly half an hour away for walking or cycling.

Inside, it's got what you'd need: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We allow one well-behaved dog. There's a highchair if you need it.
