Red Lion Corner is a three-storey cottage right on the market square in Lavenham. The main view from the front windows is of the Guildhall across the square. It's a proper Tudor building, timber-framed, and you're looking right at it.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom is a wet room on the ground floor, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-furnished, but it's an old building. The stairs are steep and there are low beams in places, so watch your head.
The cottage used to be part of an old pub called The Red Lion. You can see the old beams and there's a big brick fireplace in the living room. The garden is at the back, enclosed, so it's fine for a dog. There's a patio bit and a bit of lawn.
You're in the middle of Lavenham. The shops, the coffee places, and several pubs are about a hundred yards away. You can just walk out the door.
For days out, Bury St Edmunds is about twenty minutes by car. Cambridge is under an hour. The coast at places like Southwold or Aldeburgh is about forty-five minutes to an hour's drive. If you want a walk, the National Trust in Lavenham has information about the area.
What's here: WiFi, a TV, a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need it. You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's a wood burner for the winter and a BBQ for the garden in summer. Parking is on the street, but there's a public car park very close by.
