Sunny Meadow Cottage
Sunny Meadow Cottage is on a quiet lane just outside Acton. It's a one bedroom place for two people. The garden is fully enclosed, so a dog would be fine.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up well. The main thing is the wood burner, which is really efficient and heats the whole place. There's a TV and the wifi is decent. Towels and bedding are provided, and there's a washing machine.
The bedroom is upstairs. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow, just so you know. The shower is over the bath downstairs.
Sudbury is about a ten minute drive. It's a proper market town with supermarkets and a few places to eat. Gainsborough's House is there if you're interested. Lavenham is about twenty minutes away. It's the medieval village and it's worth a walk around.
For a longer drive, Colchester is roughly half an hour. It has a big shopping centre, the castle, and the zoo. The coast at Mersea Island is also about thirty minutes, but check the tide times if you're going.
