Rusby Barn is in Ousby, which is in the Eden Valley. It's a converted stone barn, on its own in a field. You get the whole place to yourselves. The views from the garden are across fields to the Pennines.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both en-suite. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and modern inside, but it's still a stone barn so the walls are thick and the doorways are low in places.
There's a wood burner in the main room. It heats the place well. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Everything's included: bedding, towels, electricity.
You're about 15 minutes drive from Penrith, which has all the big shops. The nearest village with a pub is Langwathby, about five minutes away.
The Lake District National Park is about a 25 minute drive. Ullswater is the closest big lake. You can get a steamer from Glenridding. Further into the Lakes, Keswick and Ambleside are about 45 minutes.
The North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is right on your doorstep for walking. You can drive up to Hartside Pass for the view, or walk from the door onto the fells.
There's parking right outside. You can bring two dogs. The garden is fenced.
