Corn Rigg Cottage
So Corn Rigg. It's a converted barn we did a few years back. It's out near Ousby in the Eden Valley, basically just fields and quiet lanes. You'll want a car.
It's for two people. One bedroom upstairs, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfy and has everything you need. There's a wood burner in the main room that works well, and the kitchen's got a dishwasher and washing machine. The stairs are fairly typical barn conversion stairs, so watch your head on the way up.
There's a garden with a patio area. It's not huge, but it's private and gets the sun in the afternoon. You can bring the dog, up to two.
For getting out, you're in the middle of it. The North Pennines are on the doorstep for walking. Ullswater is about a 20 minute drive if you fancy a boat trip or a walk round the lake. Penrith's the nearest proper town for supermarkets, about 15 minutes.
Bedding and towels are provided. There's parking right outside. WiFi works fine.
