The Cambridge is not a typical apartment, since you have your own front door and parking directly outside. There is a bright spacious living room with comfortable crushed velvet sofas, a dining area with table and chairs and a fitted, fully equipped kitchen. One of the bedrooms has Italian beds, one is kingsize and the other a double.
Cambridge is a mecca for tourists with its array of shops, world famous universities, restaurants, bars, theatre and of course the River Cam running through it where you can enjoy a relaxing punt ride - make it special with a glass of champagne as the tour guide fills you in on the historic buildings as you glide by. For the gin lovers amongst you, then a trip to the gin distillery is a must. The Cambridge University Botanic Gardens are a delight for plant lovers with over eight thousand species from all over the world. If you are into IT then pop along to the Cambridge Centre of Computing History where you will find an interactive display of computers and game consoles from the 60’s to present day. Not forgetting the children, why not do a treasure hunt, or a self-guided tour around the city? There is an outdoor lido at Jesus Green and an indoor pool at the leisure centre.
There is no reason to just stay just in Cambridge, since there are many beautiful villages and towns close by, such as Ely with its stunning cathedral; Newmarket, the home of horse racing with its museum; or take a look at their events diary as there are some popular acts on a Friday night in the summer. A day out at the coast is always a pleasure, especially to the stunning Suffolk coastal towns of Southwold, Aldeburgh, and the quaint town of Thorpeness which is centred around the Mere. Don’t miss the regatta, which is held every August and is a full day of fun and which ends with a torchlight and firework display.
