The detached Annex is located directly within the grounds of Yew Tree Cottage and is of dark woodlap construction. Set back from the road, with private off-street parking, it is situated in a peaceful, rural location in the quiet north Essex village of Little Bardfield. Just 2 minutes away by car is Great Bardfield, where you will be able to benefit from shopping, coffee shops and a local pub. A matter of minutes in the opposite direction you will find the village of Finchingfield, with its famous green and duck pond, together with three pubs and eateries for you to enjoy. Further afield to the north, but still less than an hour’s journey, you’ll find the wonderful city of Cambridge located on the River Cam and home to the world recognised university. You might also choose just to take it easy, grab a picnic or go punting on the river - the choice is yours.
Other local popular attractions include Audley End House, Castle Hedingham and Gosfield Lake. Grab your walking boots and relish the countryside or bring your bike and enjoy the relative tranquillity and mostly flat road network of north Essex. With lots to offer, The Annex will be an ideal location from which to enjoy your long weekend or holiday.
