This is Stamford Townhouse. It's a tall, thin, listed townhouse on a quiet side street in Stamford. The town is all limestone buildings, so it's got a nice feel to it. You're right in the middle of it.
The house sleeps seven, across four floors. So there are a lot of stairs. They're fine, just be aware of it. There are four bedrooms. The bunk room is fine for adults, it's a solid bunk. One bedroom on the second floor can be either twins or a double. The basement room has a single bed. There are two bathrooms. One is a normal bathroom on the first floor. The other is a wet room with a toilet, down in the basement tunnel. It's a bit unusual, but it works.
You've got a small courtyard garden out the back. The kitchen has what you need, including a washing machine. All bedding and towels are included.
You can walk into the centre of Stamford in a few minutes. There are good pubs, restaurants and independent shops. The George Hotel and the William Cecil are both around the corner for food. It's about a fifteen minute walk through the park to get to Burghley House, which is the big local attraction. The park itself is good for a stroll.
If you drive, Rutland Water is about twenty minutes away. You can walk, cycle, or sail there. Rockingham Castle and Peterborough Cathedral are within half an hour. For a wider look at what's around, the National Trust page for Burghley and the Discover Rutland site are useful.
We allow up to two dogs. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
