Jack's Cottage
Jack's Cottage is in Wothorpe, about a mile from Stamford. It's a stone terrace cottage, one of a few. The garden is yours and it's enclosed.
It's a four star place, sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one's a double, the other has twin beds. One bathroom. There's also a sofa bed in the living room if you need it.
There's a wood burner in the sitting room for winter. The garden's decent sized. It's all on one level at the front and in the main rooms, so the entrance and living space are wheelchair accessible.
The local shop is a few minutes' walk, maybe 200 yards. There's a pub and a restaurant about 500 yards away.
You're really here for Stamford. It's a proper market town, lots of old stone buildings. They've filmed TV shows there. Burghley House is just on the edge, you can walk from the town. The parkland is good for a stroll.
Rutland Water is about a twenty minute drive. You can cycle, walk, or sail there.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, wifi, a cot and highchair if needed, and parking right outside. It’s fine for two dogs. Bedding and towels are included.
