Jack's Cottage is in Wothorpe, Cambridgeshire. It's a small limestone terraced house. It's peaceful and on the edge of a village.
It sleeps four. Two proper double bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, and the living room has a sofa bed if you need extra space. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well looked after. The garden is enclosed and fully private. It's a good size.
The front door opens straight onto a public footpath. You can walk straight out into the fields from there. It's quite common to see rabbits and hares. You're allowed to bring up to two dogs.
There's a shop about 200 yards away in Wothorpe, and a pub serving food about 500 yards. It's a proper village pub.
Stamford is a few minutes' drive. It's a nice old market town, good for shopping and eating out. Burghley House is very close, you can see it from some of the fields. Rutland Water is about a twenty minute drive. You can hire bikes, sail, or just walk around it.
For things to do, you've got Burghley House and Rutland Water nearby. For wider planning, Visit Peterborough covers this area.
Facilities: there's an open fire, a washing machine, WiFi, TV, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There's a highchair and a travel cot if you need them. The entrance is step-free, but the upstairs and the garden have steps.
