Pasque Cottage is in Barnack. It's a one-up-one-down cottage in the middle of the village. Sleeps two, one bedroom, one bathroom.
It's got a four star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. It's a Grade II listed place. There are oak beams, stone walls, and a big inglenook fireplace with a wood burner. The stairs are narrow, just so you know.
Out the back is an enclosed courtyard. It's paved, gets the sun, and is private. Good for a coffee.
Barnack itself is quiet. There's a pub nearby, a couple of minutes walk, that's been done up. The shop is about five minutes away.
Two minutes from the front door is the national nature reserve. It's an old quarry. That's the start of the footpaths. You can walk for miles from there.
Stamford is three miles away. That's where you'll find the supermarkets, most of the shops, and plenty of places to eat. Burghley House is there. It's a big stately home with grounds and a sculpture garden. You can spend a day there easily.
Rutland Water is about a twenty minute drive. You can cycle the whole way round it or just go for a walk. For a National Trust day out, Belton House is twenty minutes away in the other direction.
Facilities wise: it's got a dishwasher, a washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's bike storage. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's parking on the lane outside.
