Middle Cottage is in Easton on the Hill, just off the main street. It's an end-terrace stone cottage. We finished refurbishing it a couple of years ago.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom upstairs. It’s got a 4 Star rating, which means it’s comfortable and well-equipped. The stairs are typical cottage stairs, so they turn a corner and are a bit steep.
There’s a small walled garden out the back with a patio. It's south-facing, so it gets the sun in the afternoon. You can store bikes there.
A good pub is about 200 yards away, they do food. There's another one a ten-minute walk past the church. The village shop is 500 yards for basics.
You can walk or cycle straight from the door into the countryside. Stamford is two miles away. It's a nice town with proper shops, cafes, and a market. Burghley House is there, which is worth a visit.
Rutland Water is about a ten-minute drive. You can hire bikes there, or go for a walk around the reservoir. They do watersports as well.
Inside, there's a wood burner in the living room. We supply a basket of logs to start you off. The kitchen has a dishwasher and there's a washing machine in a cupboard under the stairs. WiFi is included.
You can bring one dog. We provide a stairgate and there's a highchair and a cot if you need them. All bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on the street outside.
