Willow Shepherd's Hut is in Radmoor, near Shawbury in Shropshire. It's a glamping hut for two people, set in a field with an oak tree.
It's a 4 Star place, which means it's nicely finished. The bed is a raised kingsize, like a cabin bed. You get a good view out over the field from it. Underneath, there's a table and benches that pull out. It's a clever use of the space. The bathroom has a full-size shower.
You get your own little garden patio outside with a table, chairs, a barbecue and a fire pit. There's also a shared barbecue hut on site with a pizza oven and a bar area that you can book to use.
The hut is at the far end of the field, near a stream. You reach it on foot along a gravel path from the car park. The owners have a buggy to help bring your bags down.
The location is quiet and rural. Shawbury village is about a ten minute drive for a supermarket, a bakery, and a farm shop.
Shrewsbury is the main town, about a 25 minute drive. It's good for a day out, with the castle, the river, and lots of independent shops and cafes.
You're on the edge of the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Wrekin hill is a popular walk nearby. Within about half an hour you can get to Ironbridge Gorge, Bridgnorth for the Severn Valley Railway, or Ludlow for its castle and food markets. There are several National Trust places like Attingham Park and Carding Mill Valley in the area too.
