This is the Willow Shepherd's Hut in Radmoor. It's a glamping spot, basically a nice shed on wheels in a field with oak trees. It looks out over the field and you can see the stream and the lake from there.
It's just for two people. One room with a kingsize bed that's raised up so you can see out of the window from it. Underneath the bed there's a table and benches you pull out. It's a clever use of the space. There's a proper bathroom with a shower.
You have your own patio outside with a table, chairs, a barbecue and a fire pit. There's a shared barbecue hut on the site too, with a pizza oven and a bar area.
The path down to the hut is gravelled. You park your car and walk the last bit. The owners can bring your bags down in a buggy if you need them to.
It's a quiet place. The other accommodations are around the lake, so you're a little separate in the field. There are a lot of birds around.
For a shop, you need to drive to Shawbury, about ten minutes away. It's got a Co-op, a bakery, and an organic farm shop.
Shrewsbury is the main town, maybe 20 minutes by car. It's good for a day out, walking by the river, the castle, and the independent shops. The Wrekin hill is close by for a walk with good views. Further on, you've got places like Ludlow, Bridgnorth with the steam railway, and Ironbridge. They're all within about half an hour's drive.
There are some National Trust places nearby: Attingham Park, Benthall Hall, and others.
The hut has a woodburning stove, all bedding and towels are included, and there's parking. You can bring up to two dogs. The owners sometimes do breakfast packs if you ask them ahead of time.
