Oak Tree Lodge

Oak Tree Lodge is in Holme Marsh in Herefordshire. It's a detached lodge, so no one attached to your walls.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms with those big super-king size beds that can be split into twins if you'd rather. One bathroom with a bath and a shower over it. Everything is on one level, which is handy.

There's an open plan living area with a kitchen, table, and sofa. The kitchen has what you need: cooker, hob, fridge, microwave, kettle. There's a Smart TV on the wall.

Outside, there's a private patio with a table, chairs, and a barbecue. And there's a hot tub. It faces out over the fields. It's quite a view.

The place has a 4 Star rating. It means it's well-equipped and comfortable. Bedding and towels are included. We have WiFi. There's space to park right by the lodge, and an electric vehicle charger if you need it.

For location: it's rural. You look at fields. The nearest proper town is Kington, about ten minutes by car. It's got a few pubs and shops. There's a small animal park just outside it that kids tend to like.

Hereford is half an hour away. That's your city with all the bigger shops and supermarkets. Also half an hour in the other direction is Hay-on-Wye. Famous for books. The festival there is in May, it gets busy.

If you want to walk, you can go from the door. For bigger walks, you're not far from the Herefordshire Wildlife Trust reserves or the National Trust places like Berrington Hall. The Elan Valley in Wales is about a 45-minute drive. Good for dam views.

The lodge is wheelchair friendly at the entrance, but the internal doors are standard width and there are no grab rails in the bathroom, just so you know.

We don't allow pets. Sorry about that.
