The Maddocks
The Maddocks is a barn conversion on the edge of Whitchurch. It's one of three barns grouped together around a courtyard. You get a private garden and a hot tub.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well finished and everything is in good order. The barns are modern inside, with underfloor heating downstairs and a wood burner in the living area.
You can walk into Whitchurch town centre in about ten minutes. There's a good choice of pubs and shops. The train station is about the same distance. A train to Shrewsbury takes half an hour. Chester is about 45 minutes by car.
There's a lot of walking and cycling right from the door. You're on the Cheshire Cycleway and the Shropshire Union Canal towpath is close by. For a day out, Chester Zoo is about a 30 minute drive. The National Trust has a few properties nearby too, like Erddig.
It's a quiet spot but not isolated. You'll hear the trains go by now and then. The garden is enclosed. There's parking next to the barn.
