The Dairy is a converted barn on the edge of Whitchurch. It's one of a group of barns, but you get your own garden and hot tub to yourselves. The place sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The rating is 5 Star, so it's been done to a high standard.
It's a quiet spot, but you can walk into Whitchurch town centre in about ten minutes. There's a good few pubs and a shop. There's a train station there too, which is handy. If you drive, Shrewsbury is about half an hour away. Chester is a bit further, maybe 45 minutes.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing a dog. We take one pet. There's off-road parking right outside.
Inside, it's got underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove for colder nights. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. All the bedding and towels are included.
For things to do: the Shropshire Union Canal is good for a flat walk or a cycle. Ellesmere and its lakes are about a 20-minute drive. If you want a big day out, Chester Zoo is within half an hour, as is the Blue Planet Aquarium. For a walk with a view, the Hawkstone Park Follies are about 25 minutes away. The Ironbridge Gorge Museums are a bit further, maybe 40 minutes.
