1 The Pheasants

This is 1 The Pheasants. It's one of the converted barns at Ilsley Farm in East Ilsley. The farm is arable, so you'll see tractors sometimes. The barns are in a row around a shared courtyard. You get your own patio bit, which is south facing.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. They've kept a lot of the old beams and stone. It's rated 5 Star, which means it's well kitted out. The main room is open plan. There's a proper kitchen area with a dishwasher, and a washing machine in a utility cupboard.

You can bring one dog. We provide a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside.

The village has a pub. It's a short walk. For a bigger shop, you'd drive to Newbury or Didcot.

If you want to get out, the Ridgeway path runs right past the village. Good for walking. Highclere Castle is about eight miles away. Horse riding can be arranged locally. There's a golf course nearby too.

For days out, you're about half an hour from Oxford. Reading and Windsor are within easy reach as well.
