The Partridge is one of several barns on Ilsley Farm, just outside East Ilsley. It's a working arable farm, so you'll see tractors and things going about. The barn has been done up, but it still feels like a barn with the beams and high ceilings.
It sleeps twelve people, which is why there are six bedrooms. They've all got their own bathroom, which is useful with a group that size. It's a 5 Star place, so it's been finished to a high standard.
The main living space is open plan, kitchen and sitting area together. There's a south-facing patio outside with a BBQ.
East Ilsley itself has a couple of pubs you can walk to. For a bigger town, Newbury is about fifteen minutes by car. It has all the usual shops and a few restaurants along the river. The Donnington Castle ruins are nearby if you like a walk with a view.
If you're driving out for the day, you can get to Highclere Castle (the Downton Abbey house) or the Runnymede meadows in under half an hour. Windsor is a bit further, maybe forty minutes depending on traffic.
There's on-site parking, WiFi, a washing machine, and all the bedding and towels are included. You can bring one well-behaved dog. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
Because it's on a farm, the other barns might be occupied by other guests.
