The Downs
The Downs is in East Ilsley, Berkshire. It's on a working farm, so you'll see tractors going past sometimes. The barns have been done up to a high standard. It's got a 5 Star rating.
It sleeps twelve people. Six bedrooms, five bathrooms. All the bedrooms have their own bathroom. That's the main thing, with a group that size.
Inside, it's open plan. Big kitchen, big living space. Exposed beams, high ceilings. It's all very tidy and new. There's a south-facing patio area outside with a barbecue.
You're on the edge of the Berkshire Downs. Good walking right from the door. The Ridgeway path runs past the village. There's a pub in the village, about a ten minute walk. It does food.
Newbury is about eight miles away. That's your nearest big town for shops and supermarkets. Newbury Racecourse is there if that's your thing. Highclere Castle, where they film Downton Abbey, is a 15 minute drive. For a full day out, Windsor is about 40 minutes by car.
In terms of what's here: all the bedding and towels are included. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. There's parking. You can bring one dog. We've got a cot and highchair if you need them.
