The Gallops is in East Ilsley, Berkshire. It's on Ilsley Farm, which is a working arable farm. There are a few other holiday barns here, but The Gallops is detached. You get your own garden and patio, and it's south-facing.
It sleeps ten people. Five bedrooms, four bathrooms. All the bedrooms have their own en-suite, which is handy. It's a 5 Star property, so it's well done. Everything's included: bedding, towels, WiFi. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and parking right there.
The main living space is open plan. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. The kitchen is part of that space, so whoever's cooking isn't cut off. The ceilings are high with exposed beams.
You're allowed one well-behaved dog. We provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
East Ilsley has a local pub. It's a short walk. For a bigger town, Newbury is about a 15-minute drive. It's got the usual shops, a cinema at The Corn Exchange, and places to eat along the River Kennet.
If you're looking for things to do, Newbury Racecourse is close by. Highclere Castle is about a 20-minute drive. Donnington Castle is nearby too, and it's free to walk around the ruins. For a day out, Windsor is roughly half an hour away.
