The Goat Shed is in Pittswood, near Hadlow. It used to be a goat shed, obviously. Now it's a two-bedroom detached house that sleeps four.
It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well kitted out. Everything is on the ground floor, with wide doors and a ramp at the front, so it's wheelchair accessible. There's a big open plan living area with sliding doors that look straight out over the fields. It's quiet. There's a wood burner for colder nights.
The main bedroom has a kingsize bed and an en-suite wet room. The wet room has grab rails and there's a shower chair if you need it. The second bedroom has two singles. There's a second bathroom with a bath as well.
Outside, there's a fully enclosed garden with a patio, table and chairs, and a BBQ. It's safe for dogs, we take up to two. There's parking right there.
You're a few minutes' drive from the village of Hadlow. There's a shop, a couple of pubs, and some nice walks right from the door. Broadview Gardens at Hadlow College are worth a visit if you like that sort of thing.
Tonbridge is about a ten minute drive. It's got a castle, shops, and a station. From there you can get to London in under 45 minutes, or head down to the coast at Hastings. A bit further out, within half an hour or so, you've got Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone, and Sevenoaks.
For planning days out, these sites are useful: National Trust South East and English Heritage.
Inside, you've got a kitchen with a double oven and dishwasher, a washing machine in a utility room, WiFi, TV, and all the bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
