Violets Shipbourne

Violets is a cottage near Tonbridge, in Kent. It's detached, in the grounds of our house. You come up a private road from the lane, so it's quiet. It looks out over fields.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. It is open plan downstairs. The stairs to the bedrooms are a bit steep and narrow. They're fine, you just need to take care.

The place is pretty rural. There's a pub about a mile down the road in Shipbourne that does food. For a shop, you'd drive into Tonbridge, which is about two miles.

It's a good spot for seeing things. You're surrounded by National Trust houses. National Trust Kent has all the details. For gardens, Penshurst Place is very close. Hever Castle is about a 20 minute drive.

If you want to go further, you can be in Royal Tunbridge Wells in 15 minutes. The coast at places like Camber Sands is about an hour away. It's easy to get to the M25 from here, so London or the Channel Tunnel for a day trip to France are straightforward.

What's here: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a patio with a table. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
