Shepherds Hut 1 is one of three we have here in Laddingford. It's a nice spot, quiet. You're off the main road down a track.
It sleeps two. One bedroom with a double bed and an ensuite shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a proper, hand-built wooden hut, so it's got that lovely woody smell. Everything you need is in there, but it's compact. The kitchen has a two-ring hob and a microwave, so you can do simple meals. There's a small table and chairs inside, and two armchairs.
Outside, your hut has its own deck with a table and chairs. It gets the sun in the afternoon. There's also a shared garden area with a pond, and you can hear the river from there. The village pub is literally a one minute walk up the lane.
For a walk, you can go straight from the hut. Follow the footpath along the river. It goes through some woods and after about a mile and a half you'll reach the Boathouse at Yalding. You can get a drink there, or they do water sports if that's your thing.
If you drive, there's lots nearby. Leeds Castle is about 30 minutes. Sissinghurst Castle Garden is also about half an hour. Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, and Maidstone are all within 20 minutes.
In terms of what's here, bedding and towels are included. There's parking right next to the huts. You can bring one dog. There's a BBQ you can use.
