Dunvarrich is on the outskirts of Kyle of Lochalsh. It's a detached bungalow from the front, but it's got a downstairs and an upstairs inside. It sleeps four.
You come into the lounge with the wood burner. The kitchen's through there, it's modern and has one of those tables you can pull out. There's a decent shower room on the ground floor. The first bedroom is down there too, with twin beds that zip together into a double if you prefer.
Upstairs is the main bedroom with a king-size bed. The stairs are fine, but they're quite steep, like a proper cottage staircase. We've got a stairgate you can put up if you've got little ones.
Outside, the garden's got a lawn and a patio. It's full of flowers in the summer. You get the place to yourselves.
It's a 3 Star place. That means it's clean, comfortable and has what you need. It's not fancy. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
You can bring one well-behaved dog. We've had a lot of dogs stay, they seem to like the garden.
There's a pub you can walk to in about fifteen minutes. Kyle itself is a short drive, maybe two minutes. It's got shops, a train station, and the ferry over to Skye. The bridge to Skye is right there, too. You can be in Broadford in about twenty-five minutes.
Eilean Donan Castle is a fifteen-minute drive east. For a longer day out, Plockton is lovely, or you can drive up to Applecross. Glenelg and the ferry over to Skye is about forty minutes south.
