Hirta
Hirta is a one bedroom flat in Plockton. It’s on the ground floor of the old church. It’s on the main village street, so you’re right in the middle of things.
It sleeps two. One bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s comfortable and well looked after. The main room is open plan, kitchen at one end, sitting area at the other. The patio door opens onto a small, enclosed garden area. It’s private.
The pub is literally 50 yards away. The shop is a few minutes walk. Both are handy. The village itself is owned by the National Trust for Scotland. It’s very pretty, right on the bay.
You’ll see seals out in the water, often from the front street. If you’re lucky you might spot an otter, but they’re shy. You can walk from the door, or hire a boat from the harbour.
For a day out, the bridge to Skye is about half an hour’s drive. You can easily visit places like Kyle of Lochalsh or Applecross. The whole west coast is there to explore.
Facilities: there’s a washing machine, WiFi, and parking for one car. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
