This is Cliff Cottage in Kyle of Lochalsh. It's detached, so no neighbours through the walls. The garden's yours to use.
It sleeps five, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxury. You can bring one dog. The stairs are standard for a cottage.
It's in a quiet spot but you can walk to the village. There's a shop, a pub, and places to eat about three-quarters of a mile away. You can park right outside.
You're about two minutes' drive from the bridge to Skye. That's the main thing. You can easily pop over for the day. The view of the bridge from the village is quite something.
Plockton is a 15-minute drive along the coast. It's very pretty, with the palm trees. Applecross is about an hour, over the Bealach na Bà pass. The road is single track with big drops, so take it slow if you go. The view from the top is worth it.
Eilean Donan Castle is 10 miles away, just past Dornie. It's the one you see on all the postcards, out on the loch. For walking, the Five Sisters of Kintail are right there across the water. The National Trust for Scotland Kintail page has good information about the area.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove, which is good for the evenings. It has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's WiFi and a TV.
