Waterside Cottage
Waterside Cottage is in Kyleakin. It's a semi-detached house right on the water. You look out over the sea to the mainland. The view is the main thing.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean but not high-end. The stairs are steep, just so you know.
You can walk into the village centre in a few minutes. There are a couple of pubs and a shop about five minutes away. They're handy.
The cottage is a good base for seeing the island. Eilean Donan Castle is about a fifteen minute drive away. There are plenty of quiet beaches if you don't mind a drive. The Isle of Skye website has maps and ideas. For walking, the Walkhighlands pages are very thorough.
As for the house itself, it's got a washing machine, a dishwasher, and WiFi. There's an enclosed garden out the back. Parking is right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
