Allt Beag is our place in Achintraid. It's on the edge of Loch Kishorn. The view is the main thing. It looks right across the water to the mountains.
It's a detached house, sleeps seven. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and modern.
The main room upstairs is open plan with high ceilings. There's a wood burner. Big sliding doors open onto a deck. You'll probably spend most of your time looking out from there.
There's also a small snug room downstairs with a piano and maps on the wall. Useful for planning walks.
Two double bedrooms are on the ground floor, one has its own shower. Two more bedrooms are upstairs, one with twin beds, one with a single. They all have the same view.
The garden is a bit wild, with grassy bits and trees. You might see birds, maybe deer.
The local wildlife is good. People often see otters on the shore, seals, sometimes eagles. The road over the Bealach na Bà is famous. It's a proper mountain pass. Applecross is on the other side, worth the drive.
The nearest shop and pub are in Lochcarron, about six miles east. There's a restaurant about two miles away. The beach is just down the path, maybe a five minute walk.
For things to do, it's mainly walking, cycling, or messing about on the water. You can hire kayaks. The hills around here are serious.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking. The house has WiFi and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included.
