Carron House is a detached house about a mile and a half from Lochcarron village. It's in a quiet spot called Slumbay. The views are good, straight out over the loch to the hills.
It sleeps five, in three bedrooms. There are three bathrooms, which is handy. One is on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The stairs are wide and not too steep.
There's a wood burner in the main living room. Upstairs, the landing is set up as a second sitting area with a big window for the view. The garden is decent sized and private. You get parking right there.
Lochcarron village has what you need: a couple of pubs that do food, a shop, a cafe. The golf course welcomes visitors. You can see otters and seals along the shore if you're quiet. The beach is a few minutes' walk.
If you want a proper day out, the drive to Applecross over the Bealach na Bà is the thing to do. The road is high and the views are big, out to Skye. It's about a 30-minute drive from here, but check the road is open before you set off.
You can bring up to two dogs. All bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher.
