Carron House is a house in Slumbay, just outside Lochcarron. It's detached, so no neighbours on the other side of the wall. The garden is yours. The view is the main thing, straight out across Loch Carron to the hills.
It sleeps five, in three bedrooms, and there are three bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well-finished. The stairs are wide, not steep. Upstairs on the landing there's a second sitting area by a big window, just for looking at the view.
Lochcarron village is about a mile and a half away. It's got a couple of pubs, shops, a café. The golf course is there and visitors are welcome. You can see otters and seals along the shore if you're quiet and lucky.
The beach is very close, just at the end of the lane. It's shingle. For a proper day out, driving over the Bealach na Bà to Applecross is worth it. The road is single track and very high, the views are big. It's not for a nervous driver. From there you can see over to Skye.
You're right in the middle of walking country. The website for the Walkhighlands Torridon page has good routes. For general information, National Trust for Scotland Glencoe isn't too far for a longer drive.
Facilities: it's got a wood burner, dishwasher, wifi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. Parking for two cars on the drive. You can bring up to two dogs.
