This is Taigh Na Beadan, in Uigen. It's on the west coast of Lewis. The cottage is detached. It's got a garden.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. One's on the ground floor. It's a 4 Star place, which is accurate. It's comfortable.
The main thing is the view. The sunroom looks straight out over the loch. You'll see seals out there. The air smells of the sea and peat. You can hear sheep and birds.
The loch is right there. You can fish, or use the kayak or paddleboard if you fancy it. It's sheltered. The water isn't for swimming, it's cold and deep. It's good for messing about on.
There are fantastic beaches about a five or ten minute drive away. Dalbeg and Dalmore are that way. The sand is white. The sea is clear.
Inside, it's got everything you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher. TV and WiFi. There's a woodburning stove for the evenings. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking.
For a shop or petrol, you'll need to drive to Shawbost. It's not far. The famous Callanish Stones are about half an hour's drive south. The whole west coast is good for walking. It's very quiet.
