Uig Bay Cottage is in Cradhlastadh, on the Isle of Lewis. It's a detached house built in 2017, so it's modern but done to look traditional. It sleeps two. One bedroom with an en-suite shower, and there's a separate bathroom with a bath too.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well finished and comfortable. Everything is on one level which is good for access. The living room has patio doors that open onto a deck. The view from there is just the beach and the bay. Uig Sands are right there, maybe a two minute walk down the track.
Inside, it's smart. Wood burner in the living area, underfloor heating, a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
You're fairly remote here. The nearest shop and places to eat are in Uig village, about a ten minute drive. The landscape is the main thing. You can walk for miles on the sand. For a famous beach, Luskentyre is about an hour's drive south, on Harris.
If you want to see the historical sites, the Callanish Standing Stones are about forty minutes away by car. The Gearrannan Blackhouse Village is a bit closer, maybe half an hour. The Butt of Lewis lighthouse is up north, around forty-five minutes drive.
