Beach Bay Cottage
Beach Bay Cottage is in Carnais on Lewis. It's right next to Uig Bay. The beach is about a hundred yards from the door. It's white sand. It's a National Scenic Area, so it's properly stunning.
It's a single-storey cottage, built into the hill. The roof is turf and stone. It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both en-suite. One has a jacuzzi bath. There's also a sauna that fits two people. It has a 5 Star rating, so it's well done and everything works.
Everything is on the ground floor. It's wheelchair accessible. There's a wet room and wide doors. The layout is open plan.
It's very quiet here. It feels secluded. You'll see a lot of birds. Artists and photographers like it.
You can walk straight onto the beach. The water is good for surfing and kayaking. For hill walking, you're right in it. There's a distillery about a five minute walk away.
The nearest shop is about three miles away in Crowlista. There's a community café about a ten minute drive. The closest restaurant is fifteen minutes by car.
Facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, a wood burner, and an enclosed patio with a BBQ. Bedding and towels are included. A cot and highchair are there if you need them.
