Newonstead Bothy is on our farm near Great Bavington. It's a converted barn, sleeps two. One bedroom with the shower and toilet en suite. We've given it a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable.
You're up here in the hills, so it's quiet. The views are good. At night, you can see a lot of stars. There's a wood burner for the evenings. The kitchen table seats four, in case you have visitors over. We left a big map on the wall to help you get your bearings.
The front door opens into a porch. You can leave your walking boots and coats in there. There's a space outside to put bicycles.
You're welcome to bring one dog. There are fields and tracks you can walk on straight from the door. We'll give you a map showing where you can go. In the lambing season, if you're interested, we can show you around.
It's a proper country spot, but you're only a couple of miles from the main road. Corbridge is about twenty minutes by car. It's an old town, good for a wander and a pub lunch.
For days out, Wallington Hall is close. It's National Trust. The coast, like Alnmouth, is maybe forty minutes away if you fancy the beach.
In terms of what's here: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, parking right outside, and an enclosed garden patio. The WiFi works. Bedding and towels are included.
