Sweethope Croft 2 is near Thockrington in Northumberland. It's a single-storey stone cottage, one of a pair. They can be joined together via an internal door if you're booking with another group.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. Everything's on the ground floor. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. There's a wood-burning stove in the living area, which is open plan with some exposed beams.
The main thing is the location. It's right on the edge of Sweethope Lough, which is a lake. Your garden looks out over it. It's very quiet and rural. There's a lot of private estate land and woods around you. The cottages are a few hundred metres from the activity centre on the lake, so sometimes in summer there might be a bit of coming and going for the fishing and boating.
You're about a 25 minute drive from Hexham, which has a lot of shops and a supermarket. Corbridge is a bit closer, maybe 20 minutes. Good for a nice lunch or a wander.
You're well placed for Kielder Water, which is about a 40 minute drive. Hadrian's Wall is closer, maybe 20-25 minutes to some of the central bits like Housesteads Fort. The Northumberland National Park starts not far from you.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. The garden is enclosed. You can bring one dog.
