The area is renowned for its wide range of recreational facilities including forest walks, golf course, fishing, boating, mountain biking and horse riding. Just beyond Aberfoyle is the great Loch Ard, an easy circuit through the trees and alongside the island-strewn loch. Wildlife includes red and roe deer, pine martens, otters, red squirrels and water voles . Equally enchanting nearby loch Katrine has wooed artists and poets for centuries. Conic hill, a most charming and iconic Scottish hills is highly recommended.
