Hornby Cottage

The village itself is quiet. There's a restaurant here. The River Wyre is down the lane, good for a stroll. It feels rural, but Preston is only about fifteen minutes by car if you need shops or the station.
Blackpool is ten miles away. You can get the bus from the village if you don't want to drive. The Lake District is about an hour north. Manchester and Liverpool are also roughly an hour's drive.
Inside, it's got a woodburning stove for cooler nights. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. All bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
For planning days out, these sites are useful: Lake District National Park and Forestry England - Forest of Bowland. The Forest of Bowland is about half an hour's drive.
