Hornby Cottage
Hornby Cottage is near St Michael's on Wyre, a small village north of Preston. It's a detached house. The back garden is private and looks out onto fields.
It sleeps eight people. Four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well equipped. The entrance is level and there's a ground floor bathroom, which is helpful if walking is difficult.
The village is quiet. There's a restaurant and a pub. You can walk down to the River Wyre from the house.
Blackpool is about ten miles away. You can drive in, or there's a bus from the village if you don't want the car. The beach, piers, and Pleasure Beach are all there.
For a longer day out, you can drive into the Lake District in just over an hour. The Lake District National Park website has information on walks and parking. Liverpool and Manchester are also about an hour's drive, depending on traffic.
The house has a wood burning stove, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. It's family friendly, we can provide a travel cot.
